Dr Phil Sargent FRACP FCICM is currently the acting director of the Gold Coast University Hospital Children’s Critical Care Service. Before this he has held the posts of Director PICU Mater Children’s Hospital, State Medical Director for Organ and Tissue Donation and Clinical Lead for Long term Patient Service Mater Children’s PICU. Dr Sargent is a member of the College of Physicians in the division of paediatrics and also the College of Critical Care Medicine. He is an examiner for both colleges. He is also the director of the Australian Advanced Paediatric Intensive Care Simulation programme, delivered from the Clinical Skills Development Service in Brisbane.
